Self-repairing principle: Friction and wear are performed simultaneously on the two friction surfaces of the friction pair. Under the action of ultra-high temperature and ultra-high pressure on the local contact point of the friction surface, the repair agent particles act as a catalyst to bring the metal particles in the lubricating oil back to the surface wear site with higher surface activity. It produces the most energy in the highly worn low recesses. This motivates the return of the metal particles and self-repairing in the low recesses.

The metal particles returned to the friction surface have greater surface activity, capturing carbon and oxygen atoms that are decomposed in the lubricant due to frictional heat. Therefore, this forms a diamond-like structural repair layer on the friction surface that is indistinguishable from the composition of the original substrate. As the repair layer is formed, the wear between the friction surfaces drops sharply, and the energy required to activate the repair agent is correspondingly reduced.

When the gap of the friction pair surface tends to be optimal, the self-repair process gradually tends to stop. At this time, the friction pair changes from "between metal and metal" to "between metal repair layer and metal repair layer". Since the repair layer formed on both surfaces of the friction pair is similar in hardness and extremely high in hardness and has extremely low roughness, which brings it with excellent antifriction and antiwear properties.

Friction and wear test data            

The comparison of friction and wear experimental data of "VANS TECH" military-grade precision metal wear-resistant repair technology with other brand products.

The friction and wear evaluation of “VANS TECH” self-repairing agent was carried out on the GWL1000 pin-slot test machine.

The sample above is a fixed 45# steel with a hardness of HV450, which is in line contact with the sample below; the sample below is a disk that rotates with the axis. Material 45# steel, hardness HV221, surface roughness Ra = 0.8 μm.

In the test, L-AN 46# mechanical oil was used as the base oil, and the additives used were other brand repairing agents and VANS TECH repairing agents. The concentration was 0.8% (volume percent); the number of revolutions was 600 rpm, using step loading; a total of 60 hours of testing.

The following figure shows the friction and wear test results of L-AN 46# mechanical oil, other brand repair agents and VANS TECH repair agent. It can be seen that the anti-friction and anti-wear effect of VANS TECH repair agent is obviously better than other brands。
